Keyboarding 5e Login & Account Registration - faqs

I can’t login to Keyboarding

“Invalid Login! Please try again…”

This message indicates that the login name and/or password are incorrect or are being entered incorrectly. Please verify the login name and password and make sure that the caps-lock key is not on, login names and passwords are case sensitive. Please note that while login names may contain capitol letters, passwords are always lower-case.

SNAP passwords can be used to register for one section only. If you are using a previously used SNAP password, you will need to obtain a new SNAP User Guide from your school’s bookstore, or by contacting our Customer Service Department at 1-800-328-1452.

Blank white screen after attempted login

If SNAP is terminated abnormally (I.E. closing the window via the “red x” or a computer crash), following the next login attempt a window will pop-up displaying the message “You are already logged in, terminate previous session?”. Clicking ‘yes’ will bring up SNAP.

Some third-party pop-up blockers, however, will prevent the pop-up window from displaying, resulting in a blank white screen.

The solution is to turn off pop-up blockers, or locate your third-party pop-up blocker and add the SNAP URL (www.snap.emcp.com or www.keyboarding.emcp.com) to its safe list or temporarily disable it before logging in. These types of blockers are commonly associated with internet security software such as Norton or McAfee. For help adding the SNAP URL to your safe list, please contact your pop-up blocker’s manufacturer.

Holding down the CTRL key while logging in will temporarily disable some pop-up blockers.

Exiting SNAP properly by clicking the ‘Log Out’ button will prevent this problem.

Pop-up blocked

If during the login procedure a message regarding pop-ups being blocked appears, please navigate to the ‘Tools’ menu, go to the ‘Pop-Up Blocker’ menu item and confirm that your Windows pop-up blocker is disabled.

Then, locate any third-party pop-up blockers and add the SNAP URL (www.snap.emcp.com or www.keyboarding.emcp.com) to it’s safe list or temporarily disable it before logging in. These types of blockers are commonly associated with internet security software such as Norton or McAfee. For help adding the SNAP URL to your safe list, please contact your pop-up blocker’s manufacturer.

Holding down the CTRL key while logging in will temporarily disable some pop-up blockers.
