Benchmark Series: Microsoft Office - faqs

When launching the tutorial CD I receive the following message: “Active content may harm your computer or disclose personal information.  Are you sure you want to allow CDs to run active content from your computer?” What does this mean and what should I do?

  • This is a common message from Microsoft designed to warn you against installing software that may be potentially harmful. All software from Paradigm Education Solutions is safe to use.
  • You can click Yes. If you do not want to receive messages like this in the future place a check mark in the box “Don’t show this message again” before clicking Yes.


When launching the tutorial CD I receive the following message: “The publisher could not be verified.  Are you sure you want to run this software?” What does this mean and what should I do?

  • This message is designed to assist you in installing software from sources you trust. To continue installation, click Run.


I received the following message “Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation”. What does this mean and what should I do?

  • The Adobe Flash SWF file is attempting to connect to the Internet. This is not necessary and so it has been stopped. Click OK.
