Why do I have to register my 140 day trial for QuickBooks when it's only been 30 days?
The 30 day registration is a QuickBooks requirement. The product must be registered by that time after installation. If the user does not register the program it will shutdown and not let the user work in QuickBooks until registration is complete. They will be prompted each time they come back in the program. They still have 140 days of use, but registration is a requirement.
There is no charge associated with the registration.

Where do Company Files get stored?
Recommended (default) folder location used by QuickBooks for company files
As the default, QuickBooks uses the following locations when creating new company files or moving existing company files:
Windows 8/7/Vista: C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Intuit\QuickBooks\Company Files
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\(Shared) Documents\Intuit\QuickBooks\Company Files
Note: Windows XP users see the folder as "Shared Documents" when browsing (clicking folders) but QuickBooks and Windows display the folder only as "Documents" in paths and addresses.
