Our JIST multiplatform eBooks are designed to allow users to use various hardware platforms to view their digital books as online streaming content.  These books are viewable on Andriod, iOS and Windows 8 devices as well as traditional Macs and PCs. How can I acquire a book?

  • The Multiplatform eBooks can be purchased through any of our online stores.  The platform eBooks will say Multiplatform eBook in the description if they are compatible with this system.  Below are links to the Multiplatform eBooks for each of our online stores

How long should it take to receive my code?

  • Users who purchase their code online and selected the code via e-mail option can expect their code within a few minutes of ordering. Users who opted to receive their code through the mail can expect their code within 5 business days after the order has been processed.

How can I create a user account?

How long should it take for the account to be authorized?

  • Accounts for the Multiplatform eBook website are automatically authorized upon creation.

How do I reset my password?

  • Users can use the Forgot Password link on the login page to reset their password.  An e-mail will be automatically sent to the account e-mail with a new system password.  If you do not receive the e-mail within 10 minutes, we recommend checking your spam folder.  It is also recommended that users change their password through their account settings after they log in with the new password.

How do I reset my e-mail?

  • In the event that an e-mail was incorrectly entered or needs to be updated, please contact our Technical Support department.

My book will not load, what can I do?

  • Please verify that your computer meets the minimum requirements located here: System Requirements.  We also recommend updating your Adobe Flash Player to ensure that you have the latest updates and improvements. You can install Adobe Flash Player by visiting http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/.
  • When your account is created, your first eBook will be automatically associated with your account.  If you do not see the book you purchased after creating your account, please contact Customer Service at Educate@emcp.com.
  • Alternative eBook solution codes are not compatible with the Multiplatform system.
  • Our eBooks come at a heavily discounted price in order to be individually provided to all students.  With the ability to purchase these books at a fraction of the cost of traditional text books, we encourage users to make the small investment in the eBooks and enjoy the portability of the eBook without the burden of sharing or lugging a large textbook around.

There are videos within my eBook. What format are they in?

  • The videos within your interactive eBook are in MP4 format. You may need a plugin to play them in some web browsers.

The videos will not load in my Firefox web browser, what can I do?

By default Firefox does not support the playback of MP4 files and this will hinder the loading of your eBook's videos. Installing the QuickTime plugin will allow Firefox to play these videos. To install QuickTime (or to update to the latest version):
  • Download the QuickTime installer file to your computer.
  • When the download completes, close Firefox.
  • Find the file you downloaded and double-click it to start the QuickTime installation.
Once QuickTime is installed the Firefox plugin will be installed and enabled by default.

Once I have my account and eBook, how can I add my book to the online account?

  • When your account is created, your first eBook will be automatically associated with your account.  If you do not see the book you purchased after creating your account, please contact Customer Service at Educate@emcp.com.

Will my activation code for the alternative eBook solutions work?

  • Alternative eBook solution codes are not compatible with the Multiplatform system.

Can I share my book with other users?
